Dell-Boy in, Only Fools And Horses had a saying – “WHAT A PLONKER” well i certainly was that person on sunday – a 42 carat PLONKER. let me begin, are you sitting comfortably ? ACC turned up late and paid on for the DTL he was soon summoned to his favoured peg 5 starting point. PULL . 9 clays were despatched with ease now for the “10 in the den”. PULL . miss ???? then kill. MAX witnessed this and he to was amazed, “Clarky dont kick-off and elaines waiting at the counter for your money”. i politely told him to “Foxtrot Oscar” and paid on. 2nd time out and this time “10 in the den” – mormal service had returned. now for a brew………

the Dolphin Clay Target Centre is not only famous for presenting challenging / testing clay targets but also for the brews, it has been said that some people just attend to sample the hot water beverages and shooting is only a distraction. JESS is the young lady who is now in charge of the boiler. it has taken her some time to get accustomed to her “clients”. cold tea, sour milk, chipped cups, half measures where her speciality but now she is the nigella lawson of the refreshment counter. not only is JESS a hotty in the brew department she is also a very nice young lady.

FINAL time was running late as certain people had decided to do a round of sporting at 12.20. DREW, II and there gaggle of followers lazily headed out onto the lay out via the pot-holed muddy track, this resembled a scene from a iconic 1950s film starring judy garland but was a far cry from the “yellow brick road” ACC was not impressed. eventually II limped in at 12.45 and proceeded to head onto the DTL layout. AAC was livid luckily he missed his 3rd bird and sulked off to the ABT site. the final eventually started at 13.00 hrs with BOB, BARRY, DREW & ACC (his 7th since the new-year).

things where going well for ACC as others missed / barelled birds ACC hit his first 4birds with his 1st shot. he only had to barrel his 5th and last bird, the other finalists where packing their guns / kit away , elaines finger was over the send button that would electronically send the winnings to ACC bank… PULL . bang = MISS !!?? bang = MISS … what…. ACC went into VICTOR MELDREW mode , “i dont believe it” – neithere did the others. DREW duly jumped in and withdrew the handshake, smashed the super-final birds collected the £££ and laughed all the way to the ABT layout. ACCs belt, tie braces, and shoe laces where removed by the sympathetic “Brew=Babe” JESS just in case. . another sad day in ACC or BCL (B-Class-Loser) life. “What a PLONKER”..
